In thinking about the terrible tragedy
that occurred recently with the Bluffton University charter bus, I
am reminded as to how many charters our schools utilize for
everything from high school baseball and softball teams traveling
out of state to classes traveling to Washington D.C. So I asked
Marsh, the EPC third party administrator of the EPC Liability, Fleet
and Property Insurance Program for materials that can be shared with
the entire EPC Membership that addresses student travel by charter
bus. The information is very comprehensive and relevant to your
schools liability for student travel. While references are made to
universities and colleges, the same circumstances apply to K-12
programs as well.
